Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Hong Kong Concert Guide handles personal data when you use the website. The site is an independent Hong Kong project. Questions can be sent through mmc.dev.
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. The site does not ask you to create an account, submit a form, upload a photo or buy a ticket.
What we do not collect
We do not operate a user database. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, ticket numbers or seat-search history on our servers.
Searching for a seat, rotating a 3D model and switching language happen in your browser. Those actions are not sent to us as a personal profile.
Information stored on your device
The site stores your language choice in the browser under the key concert-locale, using local storage. This remembers whether you last used English or Traditional Chinese. It is not a tracking cookie and is not used to identify you across other websites.
You can clear this value at any time in your browser settings. If local storage is blocked, the site still works and falls back to your browser language.
Hosting and server logs
The site is a static website served by a hosting provider. Like most websites, the host may automatically record technical request data such as IP address, browser type, date, time and the page requested. We use this only to operate, secure and diagnose the site, not to build marketing profiles.
Those logs are retained only as long as the host needs them for security and operations, then deleted or anonymised according to that provider’s practices.
Third-party services
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore requests files from Google, which may see your IP address, browser details and the referring page. Google’s use of that data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
Venue pages embed OpenStreetMap maps. Opening those pages sends a request to OpenStreetMap, which may collect technical data under its own privacy policy. Links to official venue, transport or ticketing sites also leave this website; their privacy practices are not controlled by us.
We do not use advertising networks, social-media pixels or third-party analytics on this site.
Cookies
This site does not set first-party tracking cookies. Language preference is stored in local storage, not a cookie. Third-party fonts or map embeds may set their own cookies; we do not control those.
How we use information
We use the limited technical information described above to remember your language, deliver pages, keep the site secure and understand faults. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
If you contact us through mmc.dev, we will use the details you send only to reply and to handle that enquiry.
Sharing, retention and security
We do not share personal data with third parties for their marketing. Hosting, font and map providers receive only the technical data created when your browser requests their services.
Correspondence you send us is kept only as long as needed to answer you and keep a reasonable record of the enquiry. We take appropriate technical and organisational steps for a static public website, but no method of transmission is completely secure.
Your rights
If we hold personal data about you, you may ask for access to it or request a correction under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Because the public site does not keep user accounts, we will usually only hold personal data if you have contacted us.
You can also clear the language preference on your own device, or contact us through mmc.dev to ask how this policy applies to you.
Children and future features
The site is a general concert-planning guide and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Community features such as seat-photo uploads and public comments are described as coming soon. They are not available today and do not collect content from you. If those features launch, this policy will be updated before they start collecting personal data or user-generated content.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
